LONDON, UK, June 28, 2024 – FM Global has been awarded Initiative of the Year at the CIR Magazine Business Continuity Awards for the Resilience on Tour Experience.

To engage clients and partners with its world-class research and engineering solutions, FM Global created a mobile version of its leading research and training facilities.

The Resilience on Tour Experience, is a 15.2-metre-long expandable truck with a range of interactive experiences, including a flood table which challenges participants to implement water damage mitigation measures, a demonstration of how seismic gas shutoff valve prevents large releases of flammable gas in the event of an earthquake and sprinklers discharging in a live fire protection simulation.

Since its launch at the Airmic annual conference in the UK last summer, the truck has hosted around 2300 visitors, including clients, brokers and partners, in 11 countries across Europe and has taken part in over 70 event days.

The project’s success continued in June at the CIR Magazine’s Business Continuity Awards in London, capturing the prized Initiative of the Year award at a London gathering of industry peers. By coincidence, the award win came exactly one year since the truck was launched and marked its first anniversary in style.

The project has given FM Global an effective and practical way to showcase to clients, partners and the broader risk management community how to address some of the most pressing property and business continuity risks that organisations face today including taking steps to meet their own sustainability goals and mitigate against climate risk.
