LONDON, UK—FM Global, one of the world's largest commercial property insurers, has appointed Alberto Diaz as senior broker relations manager, EMEA.
Diaz was previously director, vice president of AFM, Frankfurt, FM Global’s middle market division, which specialises in insuring the property of middle market clients around the world. He was appointed to the role in 2016.
Since joining FM Global in 2003 as a consultant engineer in Frankfurt, Germany, he has held various positions, including account management roles in Stockholm, Sweden and London, UK, as well as assistant vice president, assistant client service manager, in the company’s EMEA chemical operations division.
“In today’s complex insurance market, the relationship with our brokers is something we at FM Global value highly,” said Vince Reyda, staff senior vice president, manager, client service and broker relations. “Alberto’s new role reflects this and we’re confident he will continue to build and strengthen FM Global’s partnership with brokers across EMEA.”
Diaz has a master of science degree in environmental engineering from the Technical University of Hamburg, Germany and a master of business administration (MBA) from the London Business School, UK.
