Cathy manages a team of field engineers working for FM Global’s London Operations based in Maidenhead, UK. Her team of both generalist and specialist engineers are responsible for helping clients protect their businesses from preventable losses such as fires, floods, earthquake and boiler and machinery breakdown.  All her engineers have gained their specialist knowledge of property risk engineering through the company’s rigorous in-house training programme, and also rely on FM Global’s extensive research and development activities to support their work with a wide range of clients.

Cathy is also a womens engineering ambassador within FM Global, a role which sees her having special responsibility for the attraction, retention and development of FM Global’s female engineering talent. She also gets involved in as many opportunities as she can to encourage young people to pursue engineering as a career.

Cathy has been with FM Global for over 20 years, spending an extensive period as a field engineer herself before moving into a management role. Prior to joining the company she worked for a semiconductor manufacturer and also an oil and gas consulting firm. She has a first class honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southampton.
