Allan is the Chief Engineer of FM Global’s London Operations. In this role since 1999, Allan is responsible for providing support and technical oversight to the company’s loss prevention engineers, helping clients to mitigate property loss exposures such as fire & explosion, equipment breakdown, natural hazards and cyber. Allan is also responsible for developing new loss prevention standards for evolving and newly identified hazards.
Prior to becoming the Chief Engineer of London Operations, Allan managed groups of field engineers in London and then Manchester. He joined FM Global as a Field Engineer in 1990 after completing his degree at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology
