As senior broker relations manager, EMEA, Alberto Diaz is responsible for building and strengthening FM's partnership with brokers across the region. Diaz’s role illustrates how FM highly values its relationships with brokers in today’s complex insurance market, as well as the continued importance of the company’s broker partners in Europe.
Born in Mexico City, Diaz joined FM in 2003 as a loss prevention engineer in Germany before moving to Sweden, where he was responsible for driving customer service excellence in the paper and pulp industry across Europe. Later he worked for chemical operations as assistant vice president and assistant client services manager. In this role, Diaz headed a team of account managers and underwriters and was responsible for managing existing business relationships as well as expanding business volume across Europe and the UK.
Before taking on his current role, Diaz was director, vice president of FM Affiliated Frankfurt, FM’s middle market division, which specialises in insuring the property middle market clients around the world.
Diaz has achieved a master of science degree in environmental engineering from the Technical University of Hamburg, Germany and a master of business administration (MBA) from the London Business School, UK.
